HEARTBREAK

so everyone always asks what happened to us.
the two best friends who were crazy
over each other. i always reply with you
were the crazy one... because you walked
away from it all.

You've taken away her smile, her laugh
&& the happy girl she used to be.

her eyes screamed the saddest apology that anyone has ever heard

yes it's true i have feelings for you
& i believe that you have them back
i hope i'm right i just wish i knew for sure
if not, then i guess i'm just a fool

when your throat starts to clench
& tingle & your heart gets so warm
the heat travels through your body,
when your stomach starts to feel
those unforgiving butterflies that
spark the instant flow of tears. that's
the worst pain you'll ever feel. that
is your heart breaking

so talk, come on & open up.
it's only me, it's the same old me.
the one you used to love.

i looked in the mirror & laughed.
so much for never falling in love.
so much for not being a hypocrite.

she may be confused about alot of things,
but one thing she knows::
is that shes happiest when she is with him...

they said i deserve the best,
but if the best isnt you...
then i don't want it

she's beautiful, but she'll never admit it.
music is her life, literally...ask for a good song, she'll give you 5.
pearls and jeans are her trademarks.
she's afraid of the dark & obsessed with Mountain Dew.
When she smiles, her whole face lights up.
Her heart's been broken by a guy who doesn't love her anymore...
but you know what? SHE DOESN'T CARE

& I swear when I saw your name
on the caller ID, my heart flipped

come on angel, swallow another pill with your glass of wine
and pretend he really loves you, so you can at least feel something.

i always keep bumping into you.
everywhere i go, i find you.
why? maybe it could be fate's way
of bringing us together or maybe;
it's fate's just rubbing the fact
that i can't have you...
in my face.

you care about his life, more than your's because,
let's face it, he makes your life worth living.

all this time i've been saying sorry...
but why should i be sorry, for all of your mistakes?

FRIENDSHIP

My girls have been there for oh so long,
Singin & dancin to our favorite song...
Checkin out the fellas in the mall on school nights.
Our crazy ass times & stupid little fights,
Through the good & the bad--
Happy & sad;
Not talkin for a day or two,
Our friendship always comes through.
Though thick & thin, big or small,
Friends forever & ever after all

Friends are like television.
Some are like PBS & always asking for money,
others are like the news with sad tales to tell every day,
some are like that one station with the foreign language--
you don't understand a word of it but you watch & listen anyway.
Then there are the ones like commercials: always changing, ever so annoying
& only seem to be there when you're bored.
But every once in a while,
you meet someone who's like a really good movie of the week or a tv show
you hardly ever get to see anymore because you're so busy.
My point is: hold on to the friends that you care about
& since we don't have a remote control to mute someone
or just change the channel, pick your friends carefully.

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with;
never say a word && then walk away
feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

There are many types of ships...
Like wooden, plastic && metal ships.
But the best and most importaint types of ships are friendships.

LOVE

i want the kind of guy that wouldn't
ignore me when he's with his friends,
but hold me tighter & kiss me a little harder...
just to make them jealous

makes you smile,

makes your heart skip a beat,

she saves his voicemail
so when she's lonely...
she can hear his voice

So we locked ourselves in your car. Got lost in each other's eyes.
We sang to the radio. He whispered in her ear & she'd laugh at his silly jokes, even if they were (( p o i n t l e s s ))
He'd grab her hand & not let go. He had no idea how happy it made her.
She'd rest her head on his shoulder, close her eyes, listen to their song while he kissed her forehead.
She memorized the touch of his lips. She didn't want to leave anytime soon
& he'd give her his jacket when she told him she was cold.
It would be 3 in the morning, but they'd still be tangled in each other.
She knew he was something special.
It was different how he moved her because when he told her "goodnight" because to her it still felt like "hello"

i want a guy that i can go to with my mascara running
and the first thing he'll say is "who's ass am i kickin?"

You were holding my hand
and rubbing my thumb like you always
used to, and you look at me and said,
"one day, you're going to break my heart".
i'd never walk away from you

he gave her two red roses, each with a note.
the first one said, "for the woman i love."
& the second, "for my best friend."

if you had to chose between someone you love or someone who loves you,
pick the person who loves you because you can learn to love someone,
but you can't make someone love you back.

you wrapped your arms around me;
pressing your body against mine
& in that moment of perfection,
I knew we were meant to be
& I never wanted you to l e t m e g o

girls are like apples on trees-- the best ones are at the top.
boys dont want to reach for the good ones because they're afraid of falling & getting hurt. instead, they get rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't good, but easy.
so the apples at the top think that there's something wrong with them when in reality,
they are a m a z i n g. that's why we have to be a little patient & the right boy,
the one who takes a chance to find the right apple, will someday come.

RANDOM

i understand that scissors can beat paper,
&& i get how rock can beat scissors...
but there is NO WAY paper can beat rock,
paper is supposed to magically "wrap around" rock, leaving it immobile?
why the heck can't paper do this to scissors?
S C R E W the scissors, why can't paper do this to people?
why aren't sheets of college-ruled paper constantly suffocating students
as they attempt to take notes in class?
i'll tell you why...it's because PAPER CAN'T BEAT ANYBODY.
a rock would tear that mother up in about two seconds.
when i play rock/paper/scissors, i always choose rock
&& when somebody claims to beat me with their paper,
i can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say,
"oh i'm sorry. i thought your paper would protect you."

Sometimes I go into my own little world;
but it's okay because they know me there

excuse me for speaking so bluntly but I do
believe you're no longer worth it

cross my heart, hope to die
i swear i wont say what happened that night

this bed could use a secret,
& these pounding hearts could keep it.

i got stains on my tee-shirt
&& i'm the biggest flirt
got bruises on my heart
&& sometimes i get dark

the more you deny my pain, the more it intensifies.

TEN BUCKS says you'll be putting your hands where they dont belong.
TEN BUCKS says you'll be putting your lips where they dont belong either
but TEN BUCKS says i won't be saying no.

sure, she’s beautiful...
in that "I haven’t touched
food in 3 months kinda way"

girls work on their looks,
not their minds...
cause they know guys are stupid,
not blind...

she laughs at all the rumors she hears about herself
because she loves to hear those desperate
attempts to bring her down
